Size Guide

Don’t know your ring size and not sure how to find it?

No worries—there’s no need to panic. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to determine the correct size.

On the Regina Rossa website, ring sizes are expressed in millimetres, referring specifically to the internal diameter of the ring.

Type of fit

On each ring’s product page, the type of fit is clearly indicated:

  • Regular fit: this refers to rings with a band thickness of less than 4 mm, such as a classic wedding band. This type of fit does not necessarily correspond to a “simple” design—on the contrary, it is extremely versatile.

  • Wide band fit: rings with a band thickness greater than 4 mm are considered wide bands and tend to fit at least one size smaller compared to rings with a standard fit.

Why this matters

This means that when purchasing a ring with a regular fit, you should use a reference ring with the same characteristics. Likewise, when purchasing a ring with a wide band fit, you should measure using a wide band ring.

This small but crucial detail is often overlooked, yet it is essential for obtaining the most accurate measurement possible. To determine your ring size correctly, it is important to take these differences into account.

How to determine your ring size

(Section title ready for the following instructions)

Here are three quick and easy methods to find your perfect ring size:

1)

Take a ring you already own and a ruler (ideally a caliper, but any measuring tool that shows millimetres will work). Measure the internal diameter of the ring, making sure to measure straight across the centre.

2)

The second method involves downloading the “Ring Sizer” app. Simply place a ring you already own directly on your smartphone screen and follow the app’s instructions to determine the internal diameter.

3)

If you don’t own a ring in your size, you can use a tailor’s measuring tape. Alternatively, you may use a strip of paper or a non-elastic thread (do not use wool or elastic thread—choose a material that will not stretch or deform while handling it).
Wrap it gently around your finger and mark the point where the ends meet. Then lay it flat and measure the length in centimetres to obtain your finger’s circumference.

To convert the circumference into a diameter, you can consult the conversion table below or contact me at reginarossagioielli@gmail.com—I’ll be happy to help.

Please note that this third method is the most “home-made” and the least reliable. Accuracy and precision are essential to obtain a correct size, so I recommend using it only if no more precise alternatives are available.

IMPORTANT

If you know your size using the Italian ring size system, please refer to the conversion table below. The reference measurement used on this website is the internal diameter.

I consider the internal diameter to be more precise and inclusive; moreover, it is easier to measure when a professional ring sizer is not available. Please remember that the Italian size number is NOT the same as the internal diameter.
